On April 11, Vivo officially unveiled its first foldable smartphone, the “X Fold”. At present, the mainstream smartphone manufacturers in China have all entered the foldable smartphone market, releasing their own cult products, such as Samsung Galaxy Fold 3, Oppo Find N, and Huawei Mate X2.

Why it matters

The release of the Vivo X Fold indicates the Vivo X series has become a high-end product line under Vivo. The X series adheres to the previous NEX series’ mission of exploring and innovating new experiences and forms. This series also suits professionals’ needs for work, performance, and quality pictures.

Vivo disclosed the Vivo X Fold outperformed other brands’ foldable phones in many technical areas such as crease optimization and hinge durability, providing users with a more efficient, convenient, and creative user experience.
